Hanoi – Magical capital city

Sapa – Made for trekking

Known as the “town of clouds” by the locals, Sapa is a quaint treasure trove located in Northwest Vietnam. Travelers are instantly enthralled by the sight of the famous cascading terraced rice fields, verdant valleys, and side-by-side emerald mountains. What makes Sapa special is the cultural richness of local ethnic minorities, boasting through the numerous customs and beliefs. Hue – Imperial city

Hue was the capital city during the time Vietnam was still an empire. Hue offers numerous reasons to visit, not the least of which is its imperial past. The Kings of the Nguyen Dynasty constructed their feudal city on the fertile riverbanks and atop its forested hills. A lot of the old, authentic glory survived natural disasters and the war. Admire the imperial city with the banks of the Perfume River. In addition to its exquisite cuisine, this picturesque town features moss-covered pagodas, art déco palaces, bustling markets, and leafy streets. (Best time: January to July)

 

Da Nang – Golden destination

The coastal city Da Nang has a variety of enjoyable sceneries, ranging from the Five Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son) over Cu Lao Cham island to amusement parks like Ba Na Hill and Asia Park. It is not surprising that Da Nang is home to variety of cafes, restaurants, and bars, broad beaches, and delectable street cuisine, as well as the renowned Hai Van Pass. My Khe Beach’s soft sands stretch southward from the Son Tra Peninsula’s mountains. Da Nang has some of Vietnam’s top luxury resorts, but much of the beach still belongs to the people who make it their playground, gym, and source of livelihood. (Best time: February to May)

 

Hoi An – Romantic city

Hoi An is a well-preserved town on the central coast of Vietnam, a place where the bold march of progress peters into a leisurely amble. Food lovers will love the local cuisine and the atmosphere filled with colorful colonial houses, iconic lanterns and dazzling temples. The Thu Bon River meanders among deteriorating store houses and worn-out pagodas in this former trading harbour, where sampans arrive and go from the old ferry dock.  Two-lane roads slicing through undulating rice fields outside the Old Town arrive at a foamy beach. Da Lat – French dream

Dalat is an alternative Vietnam. The town is peppered with French-colonial homes rather than socialist architecture, and the weather is springlike instead of tropical hot. The hill town of Da Lat is famous for its wide variety of flowers, vegetables and fruit from its surrounding farmlands as well as countless nature sites; it’s beautiful landscape, evergreen forests and minority villages. Nha Trang – Sunny coast

Nha Trang is a very small lively town surrounded by small islands with breathtaking coral reefs and fish species, making it the perfect spot for diving. Of particular note are the long sandy beaches with crystal clear water. Dining on delicious seafood, snorkeling around stunning islands and enjoying thrill watersports is what you can expect in a day. A unique pair of wellness attractions hidden in the north of the hills – mud baths and hot springs make Nha Trang stand out among other destinations. (Best time: February to August)

 

Ho Chi Minh – Dizzying city

The dynamic cityscape of HCMC, a free-spirited, multicultural metropolis, combines old and new Vietnam in the smallest possible area, symbolising both the city’s past and future. Ho Chi Minh is one of two economic and cultural centers of the country. This city preserved the charming architectural features of the French colonial era. Phu Quoc Island – Appealing beauty
