Day 1: Welcome to Myanmar

  • Pick up from the airport.
  • Transfer to Hotel.
  • Explore the old colonial architecture and restaurants of downtown and soak in the bustling vibe.
  • Experience Yangon’s dazzling cultural and religious diversity, from its eclectic range of food to the churches, mosques and Hindu temples that line its streets.
  • Shop at traditional Myanmar handicrafts at Bogyoke Aung San Market. (Note: Every Monday and public holidays close the market)
  • Visit Chaukhtatkyi pagoda, the huge reclining Buddha.
  • Go for a sunset visit to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, the most important religious monument in Myanmar and a point of pilgrimage for Buddhists across the globe.

Day 2: Yangon - Bagan

  • Pick up from the hotel.
  • Transfer to the airport with the driver (no guide) for a flight to Bagan.
  • Transfer to busy Nyaung U Market with the guide.
  • Explore the local market in the village of Nyaung oo where you can get a great photo opportunity and a chance to mingle with the local people watching their daily lives.
  • Enjoy an archaeological tour of this vast and unique plain, taking in beautiful and historically significant sites such as the Damayarzaka, Shweugyi and Thabyinnyu pagodas.
  • Discover other highlights as well that includes the intricate Mahayana Buddhist mural paintings at Gubyukggyi and Abeyadana temples.
  • Visit a small, locally owned lacquerware shop to learn about the unique and painstakingly crafted art for which Bagan is renowned.
  • Finish your day tour by witnessing one of Bagan’s famously dramatic sunsets, watched from the top of highland, specially chosen by the guide with the best views, whilst avoiding the crowds.
  • Transfer to hotel.

Day 3: Bagan - Mandalay, Amarapura - Sagaing

  • Pick up from the hotel.
  • Transfer to the airport with the driver (no guide) for the flight to Mandalay.
  • Transfer to hotel after arriving to the Mandalay.
  • Visit one of the former capital, Amarapura, just to the south of Mandalay and home to the elegant U Bein Bridge - the longest teak bridge in the world.
  • Take part in the time-honored tradition of making an offering to the Buddhist monks at the historic Mahagandayon Monastery nearby the U Bein Bridge.
  • Head across a vast bridge spanning the Irrawaddy River to Sagaing, the capital of a powerful kingdom in the 14th and 18th centuries.
  • Enjoy the unique view of hundreds of stupas dotted across the hills of Sagaing on the banks of the Irrawaddy, from where we will enjoy the sunset.
  • Have the chance to try some of the city's famously tasty street food, supporting the small-scale business by buying from local vendors.
  • Return to Mandalay.

Day 4: Mingun - Mandalay

  • Transfer to jetty for a boat ride to Mingun.
  • Immerse yourselves on a boat tour along Ayerwaddy River.
  • Continue with the walking tour in Mingun.
  • Explore the main highlights such as PONDAW PAYA - a five-meter high working model for gigantic structure, SETTAWYA PAYA - a vaulted shrine with a footprint of the Buddha, as well as MINGUN PAHTOTAWGYI PAYA - holds the record of being the largest pile of bricks in the world built by BodawPaya, MINGUN BELL- weighing 90 tons known as the world largest ringing bell and HSINBYUME PAYA also known as MYA THEIN TAN PAGODA - a representation of the SulamaniPaya , which stands atop the Mount Meru.
  • Witness the extraordinary range of pagodas and monasteries in Myanmar’s religious capital. Highlights include the highly revered Mandalay’s sights.
  • Discover Mahamuni Pagoda, a place of pilgrimage for Theravada Buddhists, and the intricate, wood-carved Shwenandaw Monastery.
  • Finish with a spectacular sunset over the city from Mandalay Hill.

Day 5: Mandalay - Inle

  • Pick up at the hotel.
  • Transfer to airport by the driver (no guide) to fly to Inle.
  • Transfer to the characterful town of Nyaung Shwe, at the northern end of Inle Lake.
  • enjoy some sightseeing around the floating villages and garden of Inle, or relax with your family and take in the pristine environment of the lake and the surrounding Shan Hills.

Day 6: Inle - Yangon

  • Take a 1-hour boat ride down a small canal, which will take you to the Pa-Oh village of Indein, positioned on the western shores of Inle Lake.
  • Take a leisurely stroll around the village before ascending to the top of a hill.
  • Arrive at the summit and be greeted by an iconic Buddha image, which sits enshrined among hundreds of stupa ruins and overgrown shrubbery.
  • Enjoy the mesmerizing views of the placid surroundings from the peak. The Indein Pagoda complex is undoubtedly one of the most amazing sites around the shore of the lake and it consists of hundreds of small stupas, overrun by moss and greenery.
  • Transfer to hotel on your boat ride back.
  • Head to the airport to fly back to Yangon.
  • Transfer to hotel on arrival.

Day 7: Yangon

  • Transfer to Yangon International Airport for the flight back home.
