Where to Stay in Phuket, Thailand?

Phuket is among the world’s finest beach destinations, with fine white sands, nodding palm trees, glittering seas and lively towns which blessed with more than 30 amazing beaches to choose from. Patong Beach, Kata, Karon and Kamala have always been the most popular, but the north of the island reveals some hidden gems for travelers searching for a more romantic atmosphere.

Mai Khao Beach

Mai Khao is 11 kilometers long, the longest beach in Phuket, and as part of the Sirinat National Park. A few opulent hotels have sprung up at a reasonable distance from the shore, but other than at the south end where the planes land, there are no beach chairs, umbrellas, or food vendors to be seen. Mai Khao Beach may have the coarsest sand on Phuket, but it’s also virtually empty most of the time, so you may stroll for kilometers without seeing a crowd. When taking a refreshing plunge, be cautious as there is a steep drop down into the Andaman Sea a short distance out into the sea.

  • The best place for plane spotting in Phuket.
  • You can visit the Baan Ar Jor House Museum.
  • Have fun in Splash Jungle Waterpark.
  • Discover Sirinath National Park.
