It’s time for you to visit Inner Mongolia!

Hulun Buir

Hulunbuir is located at the northernmost tip of Inner Mongolia. You can enjoy forests, grasslands and lakes, the itinerary also includes exotic customs of the Sino-Russian and Sino-Mongolian. The best travel time will be from May to September. Normally this region will be separated into two travel areas, one is the Southern Prairie and the other one is the Northern Forest.

 

Southern Prairie
The grassland area in the south of Hailaer has the most mature scenic grassland in Hulunbuir. Visitors can experience a variety of lively grassland activities, living in a yurt overnight and horse riding, etc.
Further south, you can reach the Arshaan area, which is the smallest city in China. In winter, you can come here to ski and to enjoy the ice and snow art festival. In summer, you can go to Aershan National Forest Park to enjoy the unique scenery of the original forest.
Manzhouli is a border city with noticeable Russian influence. The architectural style and urban atmosphere here is very simple and friendly.

 

 

Northern Forest
The E’erguna National Wetland Park offers unparalleled forests while Linjiangtun is a village full of Russian ethnic customs. The northern forest area is relatively primitive making it easier to feel the Russian customs.

 

Ulanqab

The word “Ulanchabu” comes from the Mongolian language, which means “red cliff”. It is located in the middle of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in China, with a vast area and pleasant natural scenery.
Here you can visit the young volcano in the Wulanhada Volcano Geopark. You can also stop at a Paradise of grassland named Huanghuagou Tourism Area, where youll find flocks of southern geese and 300 different kinds of plants. It is one of the three best meadow grasslands in the world.
Gegentala Grassland will hold small temple fairs every year. You can see the local people’s wrestling, archery, and other sports competitions, forming a grassland-style tourist area that integrates sightseeing and entertainment.

 

 

 

Xilin hot

This region is rich in all kinds of natural resources. It has the country’s first grassland nature reserve – Xilin Gol National Grassland Nature Reserve and China’s largest natural botanical garden – Grey Teng Shiller Natural Botanical Garden and biggest natural lake – Zagos Tai Nur. There are 17 ethnic groups such as Mongolian, Han, Hui, and Manchu.
The Pingdingshan is a unique mountain formed by the volcanic eruption. Above all, The view of the sunrise and the sunset on Pingdingshan is fantastic.

 

 

Hohhot

Hohhot owns distinctive ethnic characteristics and numerous historical sites.  You may enjoy the scenic prairie tourist spots on the outskirts of the city.
In order to gain a better understanding of the Mongolian people, the Inner Mongolia Museum is an ideal place to visit. Located in Hohhot, the building itself showcases aspects of unique architecture and characteristics of the region.
Go to the Islamic Customs Street for an Islamic style experience. The high-rise buildings decorated with stacked arches, Qianlong and colorful glazed tiles on both sides of the street are magnificent. The rows and windows are lined up with arched windows and doors, thick and full of green or yellow spherical roofs and towering towers.

 

 

 

Baotou

The name of Baotou is derived from the Mongolian “Baoktu”, which means “a place with deer. It is the largest city and one of the most economically developed cities in Inner Mongolia.
You can visit Xilamuren Prairie, it is a typical deserted grassland. Please remember to enjoy horse riding, folk songs, and dances. Participate in a bonfire party and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Mongolian people.
Also, don’t forget to explore Wudangzhao Lamasery, it is a white building built in a typical Tibetan Buddhist temple style and surrounded by magnificent mountains.
